At this point, she feels like she'll never be truly dry again, and can only imagine how awful she looks, skirt ripped up the seam from tree climbing, somehow still covered in mud despite the constant rain.

"Take your time and be careful," she gently reminds Rachel, and then laces her fingers together to form a step.
